Global rest days

Imagine if we all agreed to detach from work together and rest? Splunk has designated quarterly rest days to collectively recover, re-energize and focus on our personal wellbeing.

Annual leave

Splunk offers you a set amount of vacation time per year, based on your years of service:

When scheduling your annual leave, give your manager as much notice as possible. Splunk will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your requests, but all time off is subject to prior approval. You’re required to submit your vacation time off via Workday.

Sick time

You’re entitled to up to five working days of paid absence in any calendar year. To learn more, view the Time Off Policy. You’re required to submit your time off via Workday.

Volunteering

Community service is what we’re all about. Whether you volunteer with disaster relief efforts, national charities, schools, or local not-for-profit and community organizations, Splunk supports you.

All employees are eligible for up to 40 hours of paid time off each year to volunteer. You must schedule in advance and receive approval from your manager.

Bereavement

You receive up to five paid time-off days per year if you experience a death in your immediate family (parent, spouse or child) and three days off from work if you experience a death in your extended family (sibling, grandparent, parent-in-law, grandparent-in-law or grandchild). Please request bereavement leave by submitting a Time Off Request.

How to request time off

Requesting time off is as easy as 1-2-3.
