Finally taking that trip to see the world’s largest ball of twine? Woke up to a leaky pipe? Or just feeling under the weather? We get it. You have a life outside of work, and we have a number of time-away options to help you live it.

Global rest days

Imagine if we all agreed to detach from work together and rest? Splunk has designated quarterly rest days to collectively recover, re-energise and focus on our personal wellbeing. 

Splunk is offering the following FY23 global rest days.

Q1:  Monday, 7 March 2022
Q2:  Monday, 9 May 2022
Q3:  Monday, 8 August 2022
Q4:  Monday, 7 November 2022

Annual leave

If you’re a full-time employee, you accrue up to 25 working days of holiday each calendar year. You are required to submit your information regarding your use of annual leave through Workday. For more information, please review the UK Time Off Policy.

Sick time

If you’re a full-time or part-time employee, you are immediately eligible for 10 paid sick days per calendar year. You are required to submit your information regarding your use of sick time through Workday.

Volunteering

Community service is what we’re all about. Whether you volunteer with disaster relief efforts, national charities, schools, or local not-for-profit and community organisations, Splunk supports you.

All employees are eligible for up to 40 hours of paid time off each year to volunteer. You must schedule in advance and receive approval from your manager.

Bereavement

You receive up to five paid time-off days per year if you experience a death in your immediate family (parent, spouse or child) and three days off from work if you experience a death in your extended family (sibling, grandparent, parent-in-law, grandparent-in-law or grandchild). Please request bereavement leave by submitting a Time Off Request.

How to request time off

Requesting time off is as easy as 1-2-3.

  3. Submit your time-off request through Workday.
