What you need to know
No need to do a double take. That’s right, you have two eye-catching vision plans to choose from. The main difference between the Base and Buy-Up plans is that, with the Buy-Up plan, you pay less out of pocket for many services. Oh, and the Base plan is free (no paycheck contributions).
Highlights
- The Base plan is free for you and your dependents and covers routine eye exams, and eyeglass lenses or contact lenses, each year, and covers frames once every two calendar years.
- You can elect the Buy-Up plan, which offers no copays for eyeglass lenses and a larger allowance for frames and contact lenses.
- Both plans allow you to visit any vision provider you like, but you’ll save money when you use an in-network provider (benefits for out-of-network services are paid according to a reimbursement schedule).
